Waiting for God

The story of Joseph in the Old Testament book of Genesis is one of my favorite Bible stories. Joseph went through a lot of unfair hardship. Serious unfair hardship. Although I’m sure that his troubles actually started earlier, from what I can tell, the bulk of the serious stuff happened between the ages of 17 and 30 (Genesis 37:2; 41:46.) That’s a lot of wait time – 13 years! Lord, when it seems long and never ending, help us to wait for You.  “Wait for the LORD; Be strong, and let your heart take courage; Yes, wait for the LORD” (Psalm 27:14.)  God is working. He’s always working. We may not see it. We may not know it. But He is working. Be encouraged. He has a plan.
